Few quick questions before i start a W.I.P thread.

Chassis strengthen kits - i.e on ebay, 14 piece kit. Any idea if these do the engine mounts aswell or a company that make a kit for strenthen the mounts?

Solid engine mounts - purchased a set of solid engine mounts from protec, same item is on ebay on the online store. now the solid mount itself has one bolt that claps onto the plate the joins the mount and the engine. this "plate" has 2 bolt holes for going onto the old rubber mount. is it just a case of welding up these holes and making a new hole or can you purchase a new mounting plate?

Lastely, i have done away with the heater matric etc and putted a heated windscreen in the car. now that the heater motor etc is not there and plated can i remove the part of the bulkhead between the battery compartment and the engine bay? also because i have done away with the heater motor and plated it off can i use just a standard battery or will it still need to be a gel battery?

thanks

Angus

As long as the battery is still in the bonnet compartment and not in the car with you, Blue book states that a normal battery is ok. Gel battery can go in the car but better if it is concealed also earth strap needs to be yellow cable / Insulation tape. :-)
