C20XE H&H igngition wiring

Hi guys ive got a quick question regarding the h&h ignition wiring, i obviously have 2 wires which go to the coil from the module plug, and also the wires to the hall sender. This leaves just a single wire which i have no idea where it goes,

Ive always ran it to earth and the cars never had any problems but i have no idea if this is correct or not,

Any help would be great
