Removing the old sterio ????

Hi. i have a mk2 nova k.reg. im trying to remove the old sterio to replace with a new cd player. ive got to the fittings at the back of it and removed the ariel and power plug. my problem is there is a screw in the center but it is impossible to get to, to unscrew !! on the front of the sterio there were 4 screws, one in each corner. now i have removed them could this be my problem , do i now need a stereo tool to remove the old one :confused:

the screw at the back should have a rubber lug, you just unscrew that. There should be holes at the front of the stereo to allow the tools in to compress the clips from the cage. If you can't find this, the cage can be bent inwards from behind the fascia.

failing that, you can just force it out if you are not worried about breaking the exisitng stereo!
