Nova Spin

Ola Amigos!
for those of you that know me this is my new project, always fancied a nova so since seeing some mint examples at PVS the last couple of years. ive still got my corsa some of you might recognise it.

its my daily driver, ive just done my winter service, undersealing the whole underside and im going to be putting some g60 steelies on it.
anyways onto the nova...
my mate had a red nova for sale after he bought another one, i had helped him start to strip the car so i kind of knew what it was about. i was up for saving it until i got it home, a few taps of a hammer later and the holes started appearing. this was the red one,

really wanted to save this but there was too much work involved for the time i have. whilst owining the red on i had gathered a lot of parts including windows, carpets, rubbers and interior bits. so i haad pretty much a full car to be getting on with just a rotten shell lol. then i posted on another site i was after pannels to try and save ANA (rednova) and a lad offered me a new shell that had been fully seam welded and was really clean, i decided to go and have a look and it was perfect for what i was after, a couple of bits of welding and a paint and it will be like new so i bought it
i stripped the red nova of anything i could and sold the shell to my mate who in the end scrapped it as he cudnt save it either.
this is the seco
nd nova its a 1.2 spin and is mint. it had no axles, steering colum or rack when i picked it up so all this had to come off the red nova whils it was off i painted up all the bits ready to get it back on its wheels for the first time in god knows how many years. last week started like this..

i started cleaning up the inner arches and welded a new liner on the front as it had rotten

thats how it stands at the moment!
plans are to make it a mk1 rep, wings have been ordered ive gt a brown mk1 dash and undertray to go in, all original windows with reg marks on the window are there, still undecided on engine and wheels. im not wanting the car to be a trailer queen so it will be made to be used!

anyways! door whent on today, when i picked the car up i got 2 white dorrs with it but one was rotten so i had to get another, lukily for me but unlukily for mieran he was breaking his nova turbo so i bought a mint door off him and swapped all the winder mechanism and windows over.

been quite buisy, bought some mk1 wings, front bumper and grill, there all genuine parts which was ideally what i was after.

i decided to take the tank back off so i could plum it in.

the shell had been prepped to be a rally car so had the pump access welded up so i had to cut it out

interior and loom is goin in this weekend hopefully as well as the dash so should have an update next week.

Bought a brown MK1 dash and was going to fit that but then got offered this grey one and my interior is grey so decided that would be best!

also bought a new back axle, its all apinted up and has new shoes, brake lines and handbrake cables so saves me a bit of work

and got some wind deflectors for it, ive never seen any on a nova before so really happy with them.
