rs turbo'd daily!!! another ford alert

well as a few members know i replaced my trusty cav with a novavan for a short while then bought this little gem,

bought like this with an abortion of a wiring loom,wires everywhere:mad: im surprised it didnt do a matt brown and set fire to itself:eek:

after removing the dashboard including removing 2 old alarms,1 immobiliser a switch in the glovebox and removed the butchered wiring to the front screen switch!!!!!!
so a new battery and glow plugs,repiped the derv lines, and fitted a toad ai606 while the dash was out, the wiring was that bad it took 3 nights to sort out:(

complete with nasty xr3i front seats which soon were binned in favour of a set of 90 spec recaros:cool:
all rewired now with no silly daft switches and butchered wiring, it has the toad fitted just need to wire my total closure module up,
the engine is a 1.8turbo diesel from a late mondeo
thought id treat it back to amber indicators,new seats,new alarm, new wheels

how it stands as of today,im pretty happy with how it looks now

technically yes lol though the only remaining xr bits are the black round the windows and red strips though i can guarantee these will be gone once ive got blue pegs van out the way the whinging coont,
cheers pete i love it its awesome and pulls 45 to 50 mpg, im going to fit a front mount cooler to it and lose the last xr bits then im 100% happy with it

i wouldnt have been able to afford one as a whole car so i bought a shell and sourced bits as i went on,i gave £700 for it 3 and half year ago granted ive spent some pennies on it but as its been £100 here £50 there its not really hit me hard
the wheels were the dearest, i have £650 in buying the wheels and powder coating and new tyres, thats dear comparing i gave 3150 for the superleggeras on the diesel lol

well after thinking for the past few weeks that the td is slow i made an effort into looking into tweaking it,
got inside the diesel pump and altered fuel through the rev range,altered actuator arm and altered the off boost advance fuelling and boy does it fly now!!!

happy is not the word, i am now looking into a full front mount cooler for it

no just altered the fuel max and boost advance must have been turned down or not correct as the pump used to be controlled by ecu
