anygood?

a 1.0 ohv will not fit. the 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 carb have the same size flywheel, the 1.4 & 1.6 mpi have a larger flywheel and the starter is mounted further out to suit, thus unless you are planning some serious metal modifying, the flywheels aren't swappable between a 1.2 & a 1.6

no mate the 1ltrs have a f10 box. iv got a chevette and the 1.3 engine is no good but the block is the same as a 1ltr nova engine so if the flywheel of the 1ltr engine will fit onto a bigger engine i will fit one save trying to track down a chevette engine. the bellhousing on the chevette box is same size as a f10 box

cheers for info. could i get it redrilled or are they miles of.
the 1.0 ohv engine is a 60's opel design, and is broadly similar to a 1256cc chevette engine.
the f10 gearbox for the 1.0 ohv is unique, the whole bellhousing section will only fit onto the 1.0.. the 1.2 & 1.3 ohc nova engines use a completely different shape f10 box. they are not interchangeable.
i assume you are planning to fit a later ohc engine into the chevette.. try to get a manta 1.8 or later carlton/omega box. you will be able to get them to fit to the ohc engine.
