Does anyone work for Vauxhall? I need a favour!

I have an astra mark 4 1.6 8v (z16se) auto and it keeps bringing up fault codes.

I suspect that its the ECU as these are common faults due to heat soak from inlet - so I bought a new one with the chip etc.

Trouble is I need the car's security code (4 digit apparently) to be able to access the new ECU to programme it?

I will throw some beer tokens your way of course if anyone can help!?

I take it you don't have the Car Pass that would have come with the car?

You can get replacements from Vauxhall, just give them your VIN number and sorted.

Its the car pass I need yes - my helpful dealer said I needed proof of ownership/insurance etc, which I didnt have as its not owned by me, plus they said they would want to get it in for inspection!???

Hence the thread on here!
