veccy one does look cooler imo
Ive got a complete W reg facelift Vec GSi in bits if you need anything anyway.
veccy one does look cooler imo
Neither are as good an inlet design as the 3.0 though, from an airflow point of view
:p
the X25 one looks wayyyyyyyyyy cooler tho lol
also the induction pipe on the c25 inlet is tight between the cam belt cover and turret, where as thats not an issue on the x25
and Jack pics or gtfo :p

you will do well pal imo aint worth the hassle, the front manifold, top rad hose and radiator/fan combo are a major squeeze and its easier to do away with the front panel centre section for some 1x1 box section like i have done but its trial and error really if it fits it fits lol

I'd rather fit a different engine than fit pins the saloon isn't a track car and never will be so IMO bOnnet pins are a total no go totally not in keeping with the rest of the car
I know of a few running a trimmed slam panel with the cav inlet so maybe the way I have to go
You have to trim so much of the front panel away you'd be mad not to run pins, unless you could maybe build some strength back in. Thats why Jack runs pins when his doesn't really suit it.

My friends has a very small amount removed and fits perfectly. There is about 4 inchs removed from the Cam belt end and tbh it looks factory.

why not make up some lower mounting brackets? or get a bonnet modified? when people fit the mi16 to the 205, they apparently fit an auto model bonnet, which is higher in the centre, but no-one notices, moulding a slightly higher grp/cf bonnet would get the clearance, and probably help with the weight

lol but tru working on it absolute no go

thats why i went for pins, i cut thst much off the front panel the bonnet rattled like fook as it was so thin and flimsy, im not saying it cant be done as it can but if you ever wanted to work on the front it would be a reet ball ache, also depends what mounts you run as to where the engine sits
I have solid mounts on mine so it makes things a bit tight lol
The reason why mine has pins is because we cut so much to clear the front rocker cover (which was originally plastic, so larger than the metal ones), it weakened the slam panel and the bonnet wasn't shutting properly. Also the angle of the bonnet from where we jacked the back up didn't help either.
Metal rocker covers with the cav inlet, maybe the vectra one, should be Ok. If in doubt, maybe fit some colour coded aero catches.
Rich, have you got an exhaust sorted? I might be selling mine when we strip it down
lol but tru working on it absolute no go
I will tell you tomorrow as its coming out.. dont look to bad though.

lol engine out the bottom you just have to tilt it to clear the rack but it hits on the crossmember aswell so its abit of hit and miss be prepared to lose some paint though lol

Intact I'd be interested in rear fanimold and down pipes have a standard fanimold
