Nova Sunroofs?

While having a quick look on the web for bonnet bra's for my nova saloon i came across
this picture:

it looks to be a full slide back canvas roof, were these a optional extra, and how rare are they? :wtf:

I believe it was an optional extra Irmcher kit, and they made a bunch of Novas with the sunroofs in already and sold them badged as 'Sola'.

Iv seen one of these round my area, looks to be a standard slightly tatty poverty spec except for the roof, a young lass driving it. aint seen it for a while though.

These are more common on the continent. Seen a few here in the Netherlands.

Theres two lads on here with them, one's silk violet like pictured the other is red.
There not common, but then nova's aren't either these days lol

As for bonnet Bra's pm Mazz, his missis Tina makes them.

I think they only made 200 for sale in the uk but for some reason they were only sold in and around london vauxhall dealerships. They were only sold in 1992 as well so should all be on a J or K reg

I went to have a look at a genuine Sport in Sheffield about 6-7 years ago that had an Irmscher fold back roof fitted in white....

The grey one in the first photo is my one, the pic was taken on the way in to billing last year. They were available in red or silk violet and we're a limited edition sold only through London and South East Vauxhall dealers in 1991. They were called the Corsa Joy in mainland Europe and had a few extras that the UK models didn't have.
