After the 'incident' with the first one I decided I wasn't bored enough with it after 36 hours to not get another, and I managed to find one the same age, within 20k mileage wise, in the same colour, same engine, similar condition and within £50 of the price :d

Pretty pleased with it atm, cleaned up really well yesterday and looks 10x better than standard now :d

Fair play looking at the pics again and the stance/wheels/colourscheme looks spot on. Clear indicators and side repeaters next?

Also is the towbar a detachable type? Mine's in the boot with a flap in the rear bumper.

I need to check that out tbh, I had a quick feel around and it seems to be solid, still need to unwonk the exhaust so I'll have a look then, pretty sure I have a spare flap on the other car to blank it off with.

I've never really liked clear indicators etc on older cars, but this is somewhere in the middle, I'm not sure if it would suit them or not.

I had the exact same worries, orange looks period on the standard basket style 15s but I think it's modern enough to pull off the clears without looking bizarre. My clears:

Yeah I had a google round at some just now, actually pulls it off alright. Yours needs some maroon sideskirts/facelift bumper! Just noticed your mirrors are different too, must be a facelift thing.

Looks good on the throwing stars..... Always wanted a set for mine but they seem to hold there money well. Clear indicators and red/clear mtec rear lights would finish it nicely IMO . And the grill blackened.

looks mint! in my opinion it needs to go a little lower, a sport/m5 front lip and maybe a little camber?

Stevie, PM me re: stars, since Iain is a big gay and didn't want the set I showed him lol Already have the dark grill, seriously considering smoked lights all round tbh but I'm not sure atm... the proper hella rears look awesome on the right car.

I was just thinking it needs and LSD after a trip out lol The front bumper is already M5 spec being a facelift, unless you meant the M-tech thing with the vents in it, which I'm not a fan of tbh... Schnitzer lip would be nice but I imagine they're silly money when they do turn up.

I wouldn't mind it a bit lower, like 20-30mm on the back and another 15 or so front, but it handles and rides quite well as is atm.

Agreed on the Schnitzer lip!
20-30mm on the back and 15 on the front does sound good, i think that will make it sit just right, rather than having it stupidly low. however as its a daily you dont really want to ruin the ride etc.
There is alot you can do to a 2.5tds lump with still keeping the fuel econemy! (To a certain extent)
