The truth of it is mate I wouldn't know everything I.would need to do.it lol
quite sure the was a seller that sold the whole lot as a package.. cant remember exactly what it included but piston rings, bolts and all your regular service parts were in there aswell
wouldnt chance buying ****e off ebay. how far are you going with the rebuild?
i only use/supply elring, victor reinz, mahle, gates, glyco and acl.
basics are:
headset
sump set
headbolts
water pump
big ends
mains
belt kit
oil pump..i prfer using original gm pumps though tbh.
pistons rings
but if doing it properly..pistons and an overbore.

You'll spend around 400 quid for the basic rebuild parts, but the pistons, you may not have a choice, depending on the block.
i could price the parts up if needed matey
For god's sake, ring the local engine recon place.. This engine will need a crank grind, and a rebore, so let them price the job up properly, as they will be giving warranty on the work.
Anyone who rebuilds a 20 year old engine without getting this work done is throwing good money after bad.
As Phil said, dont buy cheap shi*e parts from ebay to rebuild it. Get good stuff and you wont be doing it again.
