Has anyone else noticed that you now get all the music channels, also I'm supposed to have an extra 40 other ones, they are currently doing this until next summer.

I suspect that this is because many are leaving due to Virgin having a better broadband and others moving to BT vision.

Many of you guys/gals still using Sky these days then?

I'm on the 'freesat' thing (we cancelled the subscription because of the above reason, started at £24 a month and was upto £37 a month with ZERO changes within 2 years), just the basic music channels here.

sky is crap, we have bt vision which is ok if you have quick internet but hogs alot of the bandwidth

sky is usually repeats of friends music channels with 1 song then eleventy million adverts

the movie channels are utter pish, always a film about a dog that plays basketball or some crap

I pay £51 a month for my sky, all channels and Manchester United tv which is £8 a month. So almost £60 a month.

Started to think its a waste now to be honest, only watch football and wheeler dealers and that's about the lot.
May have to shop around me thinks...

It was part of the price freeze deal they did not long ago. They froze all customers DD and opened up some of the other channels.

I've sky+ with the discovery channels, kids channels and now all the music because of this new upgrade and it costs me £21 per month, not bad I think.

My broadband is £19 with talk talk btw which is a fast enough connection at 10mb as I don't download much.

so why is it, that people are paying different rates for the same packages?????? i think sky are really taking the piss with there increases every year!, im gonna look at freeview+ or something else how does this bt vision work then what do you get?

Pistol Pete
04-11-11, 09:13 PM
Different time scales i guess. I have had my package nearly 4 years. I found out the other day you cant get normal + boxes, you need to have a hd box even of you are not on hd subscription!! lol

andy_mk3
04-11-11, 09:35 PM
Cheaper to just make the one type of box, plus some tv's don't even have scart connectors now, and also the menu's and everything will be in HD so better there, and less hassle if they want to upgrade :p

Sky is a total pile of pish, we pay about £70 a month for sky+ HD, phone and snail version of broadband, that is not sports or movies channels either, broadband is so slow we cannot watch youtube videos, or any kind of video after about 6pm.
Broadband hasn't ventured to us here in Royson Vasey so we're a bit stuck...:0)

Benn

^sh*t, I pay 50 for HD, movies.. That's bad enough.

sky monopolise the market and they know it!, but there prices are just totally ridiculous, how can they warrant charging what they do then expect people to pay extras on top for movies and sports programs?, fuc.ing rip off cu.ts!

Benn

One thing that pisses me off, i pay Sky and watch everything thru them.. Why should i pay the BBC a tv lic fee when i don't even have a Ariel in the house.... That is a rip off.

Stuart

DM 500 here on a C-line. I get everything Sky can offer plus so much more, pub channels, foreign footy, all PPV, porn etc etc etc. 790 channels currently.

The price? £110 for the box and SFA after that.
