what made you decide to sell though?
Its in there too Wisey... but its such an exclusive!
this would've been the bestest Nova of ALL time....
I'm just fed up...its been 2.5 yrs off the road, ?13k+ spent... and I really can't be bothered anymore.
Cheers,
Sid

Your f'kin crazy....
Finish what you've started! You may be pissed off now, but it will be worth it when its finished!
C'mon sid.. u know u wanna :?
Don't be daft Sid. You'll only kick yourself when you see someone else finish the car off with a few ?k spent on it. Take a break from the thing. Go on Holiday, stick it in a garage so you can't see it for a few months. In truth it's not going to be finished in time for any shows this year, so put it to one side until later in the year and then carry on work on it and get it ready for the shows next year.
I've been modding my car since I owned it and in my eyes it's not ready for any shows which is why I've not taken it anywhere this year. Hopefully it'll be finished for the shows next year, but I'm happy just to let it be for the minute. Ok, I still drive my car on a daily basis, but I'm not proud of driving it in it's current state.
Don't sell it cos your fed up, find something else to occupy you for a few months and then you'll think "Right, I'm gonna get this car ready for the shows and work on it for a few solid months ang get everything sorted"
Jim
There are yes ... but I had a vision... a dream of the ultimate Nova...
its all there, just needs someone to finish it all off.
Its subtle too. Those doors are amazing!!

Yeah it does need someone to finish it off.. that someone is u!!
To get it the way I want.. it'll be a few more k's, but it can be put on the road for not a lot of money... but then why have a car that is not 100% the way I want it?
I'm considering:
BMW E30 convertible, M3 style, with 18" BBS alloys, fresh respray.
Mint.
I just dont wanna be messing around with cars anymore... I would rather drive them.
ALSO, I'm 27... maybe growing out of it. The whole 2.5 yr affair has done my head in

Its how you see it so you need to finish it, as it stands its not worth a wank, if you spend the rest of the money then you will be able to recover more of the money you have put into it.
Just do it and stop thinking about it.
Everyone involved in this circle has been where you are :!:
Personally i think you made a great decision mate :D
Would rather be driving that E30 to any bloody nova.

What a fine example for a moderator of a nova website to be making

Get a fucking life, if Breeny would rather have a BMW rather than a fucking nova thats up to him just cause he is a moderator does not mean he has to worship novas. Micky has a WRX and no one says fuckall to him. Rick

Completely agree.
Also, despite shelling out ?13k, unfortunately hardly any of it adds re-sale value to the car. It's dead money.[/quote]

maybe he has grown out of it, i know i grew out of the rudeboy style modding scene a while back, would suit sum younger "maxy" type of bloke tho
Is that why you took a perfectly good white Subaru and painted it like it was going for auditions for 2 fast and 2 furious? Whens your 100 shot of NoZ coming bitch! Rick

people take things far to seriously, lighten up for fuck sake you always seem to have a problem with what people say.

I just have a problem with everything you say. I was sticking up for Breeny in that not everyone wants to be a 40 year old driving a fucking nova, unlike you who must have no fucking ambition in life at all. Rick
Eeeeeasy now... Yes i'd rather have a bimmer over a nova... I'd like to have both of them more so.... Just because I'm a mod means I'm not allowed to express an opinion? hmmm
Before all this gets out of hand I still love my novas... I just hate the reputation that driving a nova gets... but n'mind eh.
Now lets all be a happy family

Well thats tough shite cause im going to keep on saying it :!:
I've made up my mind... 100%.
Its all going.
I have some great stuff for sale... and prices now added to my site (check my link).
The more I think about it, the more it saddens me... but as Micky says, I'm growing out of it. If I ever had it on the road, it would be a whole different scenario. Its nearly there... it would have carried on if my bro didnt tell me about this bimmer! I blame him!!
Just hope I like the BMW when I see it... lol :D

For that comment i took great inspiration from Ged! Rick
beemer e30 OR nova???
umm hard decision that 1 mate! i think not, the nova would have been quality when it was done but them beemers are the bollox and far more quality than any nova around
it may be a cnut to get rid of it b4 its done but u no it makes sense
no no no its 'suck ME twadger'
i h8 novas now not coz of looks n stuff but because no one take you seriously, i have to put up with peps saying my car will never be on the road again, its only a shitty nova etc etc
but then sum times thats what spurs me on ie go in to fuk u all mode-more overtime go bigger
and yes you should have an ambition to own more than a nova! the only reason i went the nova route is coz i cant get insured on a escort cosworth yet, at the end of the day id rather be driving a good car than fixing my car all the time and not driving it n e where!

I just hate the reputation that driving a nova gets
A reputation?
People see me driving around in mine and think i'm a boy racer or something. Have all sorts of twats trying to race me and stuff, but i'm not into that. (Have 9 points lol).
Also, everyone automatically assumes i'm a cruiser and etc, but i haven't ever been to a single cruise. They just don't interest me whatsoever. Though going to car shows is a different matter (not that i've been to any).
I've only done mine as it was something to do. It's more fun taking a car to pieces and rebuilding it with different bits, rather than buying something new and driving about in it. But there have been so many times when i was going to just leave it and get something new.
I completely understand why you'd want to get rid, but i also understand why some people want to carry on even if they're 40 or whatever.
What's ambition, and owning a Nova (or any other car for that matter) got to do with each other? Is ambition measured by material posessions?
What does it matter, we're all individuals and do what WE like.
Now i want something bigger, better, faster and newer. But i'll still modify it.
It's just a hobby.
Boys and their toys - we get older, and our toys get more expensive.
who said I'm gonna leave the bimmer alone?? lmao
Modifying is in my blood... even brand spanking new cars! just more expensive that way, if I did!
