Was wondering if anyone could share with me what final drive they use on there car.

engine is a x14xe with an f13 box, got a group A LSD however i cant afford a straight cut system just now.

Is there anything i can do to change the gear ratios to suit the forests better?

Any comments appeciated!

What revs ar you able to use?
A good cwp is 4.53 , this suits higher revving engines, the 4.3 or 4.18 would be fine for 71/2 k revs.

as its forest, and braking grip is limited, you can get away with 236mm brakes & thus 13" wheels, this, with low profile tyres will lower the gearing too.

As the wise old men above have said, if you have not got a CR box out of a GTE/GSI and some other models it will help a bit.

dunno what engine will rev to, getting a mbe system that is mappable off bill falconer. i would need to look into this further. i have the cr box out of the GSI.

how many notches does the 4.3 and 4.18 have and what boxes are these in?

Thanks

no notches on 4.18, found in 1.3sr's and prob others too. I have a 4.1 for sale, PM me if your interested.

4.29's are in some combo vans iirc.

from the sound of the engine build, its not going to be revving much over 7.5K anyway, so the CR 4.29 cluster from a corsa D would be ideal :)
