View Full Version : Decisions decisions :/
Hello there :)
So the story is, I took my Corsa VXR in for inspection yesterday and upon returning to collect it I stumbled across a Nürburgring VXR Corsa in the forecourt (demo car). I did consider going in to chop mine in when they came out but decided against it but now upon seeing one in the flesh in colour I thought I'd pick (chilli red) it's sparke off the lust or one.
As you may know they come in 5 colours
Chilli red
Lime metallic green
Yellow
White
Metallic black
I wanted chilli red cause it's sort of close to the colour of my Nova VXR, but now I'm thinking i wouldn't mind one of the radical colours and let's face it, if it weren't for people thinking like that we wouldn't have Jamaican/Mustard yellow SR's and the likes would we?
What do you lot think?
Obviously Im not going to go for the colour based on what the poll says just want opinions

We've all seen white or black ones
Any pics of the actual colours?
The red doesn't look anything special
The green is puke inducing and IMO would be hard to sell on
Black is a pain to look after and doesn't really suit the car (again, IMO)
So my choice would be yellow or if not then white.
How much do they want to penetrate you the wrong way for a 'special' colour and some stickers?
edit: my bad, don't even get the stickers lol
I like the green lol though I am swayed more to the yellow
Do you not know the spec mk? The corsa got better treatment than the astra
They put an exhaust AND an air filter on it?
No I'm not aware tbh, if it's newer than 15yo and I dont have to play with it I don't generally take much notice lol
I was like that but had a randome Saturday out and ended up with a spanking VXR :s lol
they have bastuck exhaust system, wider lighter wheels, bilstein suspension, limited slip diff, brembo 4 pot calipers, re-mapped traction control and re-mapped abs, unlike the Astra that just got white paint, lighter wheels and an exhaust
Edit: oh and a fancy little front splitter :p
Still can't see the pics, but i've googled so i'd go for green or yellow.
I can't seem to sort them John :/ google is your friend! Lol
Is there a specific colour only for the burg?
No the Burg has those 5 colours, think the black is slightly different to the normal VXR's which only come in black red or blue
Not a fan tbh, I'd still have Arden blue, maybe it's the dark wheels that put me off,

Hmmm, red would probably get my vote. Black is a no no IMO, white has been done to death, the green is ok, but as Jack rightly says selling after may prove difficult. Yellow....not sure!
Someone photoshop a yellow one with white or silver wheels, IMO it would look far better
Red or Black.
Green is too trying to keep up with Ford in my eyes, Same with yellow for me. White is just too boring. Why settle for no colour when you can have colour...
I wouldn't say yellow is trying to keep up with anyone seeing as vauxhall did it 80's and 90's
In my eyes in falls in to the tendy in your face thing they have going on...
Enough said in my eyes.

Glad to see proper brakes in the Vauxhall range now too..
Yeh see what your saying, but why blend it to the background in something that's supposed to be 'special'
Only 200 made is special. Mass made isn't... How many are they making of these?
Apparently am un confirmed amount lol
"We thought there was someone counting but er, turns out he thought someone else was counting and well we made a few now"
I could see it :p
Oh i can see them all lined up at PVS like the Astra VXRs.
No the Burg has those 5 colours, think the black is slightly different to the normal VXR's which only come in black red or blue
and Silver Lake for a standard Corsa VXR
Shame you cant get this colour...

....or is it a more prime red? if its prime red iv seen one around my way and i dont really like.
out of the above options i think green
Believe it or not that's Chilli Orange. Just shows as a red in some lights.
It comes in FOUR Colours. (Yellow is not being brought to the UK market)

Blistering performance demands equally dramatic colour schemes. Choose from Glacier White, Chilli Orange, Lime Green or Black Sapphire. Four stunning paint finishes. And not a metallic red in sight.
Not getting one, test drove it today.
Wasn't impressed by its 're-worked engine, turbo and reduced back pressure sports exhaust system' which sounded no different and the car seemed no quicker than my VXR which I had just got out of. The burg feels a lot more planted and handles better but meh feck it.
lol at using back pressure as an argument, I'd be asking if it had a flux capacitor and woowoo valve.

Get the dayglo green one, I saw one the other day and they look very, well green infact lol
Reducing back pressure in a turbo car is good though, so there is some foundation in that claim
Green is too trying to keep up with Ford in my eyes, Same with yellow for me.
I thought the yellow looked quite dark. As in, not an in-your-face colour like the orange/green etc used on the Focus. My caveat is I've not seen it in the flesh though, so it could look utter dogshoite lol
The chilli orange is a nice colour, looks nothing like the st orange
Reducing back pressure in a turbo car is good though, so there is some foundation in that claim
Increasing the flow rates in a turbo car is good, as there's a lot more exhaust gases to expel at higher temp than NAsp, so more volume, no such thing as the mythical 'back pressure'. A small diameter pipe on a turbo should actually spool quicker to a degree, as the gas velocity will be higher.
