Silly Gearbox Question

Hi all,
im currently checking 2 f10 4 speed gearboxes that i have to see what 2nd gear ratio they have for a mate, when looking through the selector hole, theres a big gear closest to the end plate (presuming this is first?) then there is a straight cut gear (presuming this is reverse) and after that is 3 more gears, so is the one after reverse 2nd? and the one closest to the bellhousing 4th?

Only worth checking if they came out of a MK1 astra otherwise it will be a 1.96 2nd gear.

awh dung! was hoping for a 2.2 or similar :( am i right about which gear is which though? cheers

i know in a five speed box the second gear is the third gear from the flywheel so it sounds right
