decalring you park on the road is cheeper than the drive or a garage and put some older people on your insurance with lots of ncb i got my from 2200 to 1160 with suspension brakes and interior changes and im 18 0 ncb and 3 points

But declaring your vehicle is garaged or off the road overnight when it is not, is actually insurance fraud and illegal!

How is declaring that you park your car on the road going to make it cheaper than if you was to say you parked in a drive????
Maybe because your admitting its on the road rather than babbing about it being in a garage lol
TeddyThom

lol true.
However I park on a drive. Not the road. So if I was to change that to "I park on the road" I should get some monies knocked off the premium??

Because if its locked in your garage its not going to get vandalised by pissheads/idiots, its less likely to be broken into/stolen as most thefts are just chance encounters, and above all its not going to get crashed into by a sleepy/drunk/incompetent driver, if its not parked on the road, so therefore its considered as less of a risk, and therefore (usually/sometimes) cheaper:p

I never mentioned a garage tbf :plol
I was on about the difference between the drive and the road (apart from the obvious)
So I was right to be confused on what he said then.:tard:
Garage/drives are considered the same things afaik, but its classed as less of a risk if its parked off the road:p
but the lad said it was cheaper on the ROAD lol
Eh im sure he has got that one wrong then lol
I never spotted that one, this explains why you were confuddled mr Tom, apologies!

AndrewJenkins

no because i have a drive and a garage im not one of theses people lying ive done everthing by the book hence everything is declared.
and my dad was talking to the insurance people and its something like on the drive statistically your more likley to have a ding on the way of joining the road rather than if your already on it and in the garage was some bull crap that if someone finds your keys they know were your car is

Well i got a 2.5k policy from elephant, I am 19 years old i have a 1.2 1992 nova.
All of a sudden my policy changed I was asked to pay £465 Per month, Which i COULD NOT Afford.
I am now following up a few court cases due to stupid terms in there "insurance" agreement.

If you're fighting Elephant be aware that they, Bell and Admiral are the same company.

double post
Yes that's me as main driver. It's cheaper, because of his NCB it reduces the premium by 70%.
Edit: That's also because I have taken my pass plus which reduced the premium again by 40%.

The wording is key. If you are technically the main driver of the car (as in you drive your grandad around all the time, do your own thing in it all the time etc), but a named driver on the policy that is when it becomes illegal. IIRC.
