Hi guys what goes where i.e which is FUEL IN which is FUEL Return????

I have circled and number them in the pic:

on my motor 1 is fuel in, 2 is fuel out and there is a fuel pressure regulator between 3 and 4.

Thanks matey i have got an after market fuel regulator, does it go on at number 3 & 4 still
