Big block shafts snapping?

Yow guys im looking at buying sonme big block shafts for my v6 off a mate but heard sone are ni good and snap easily or the end brake off can you advise me please

best to get some from dave dixon, iirc he aint had one snap yet and a lot of high powered cars run them. i have heard of the m-tech ones snapping from lmf

its only the early Courtney/Regal 'tapered' shafts that snapped (were welded astra/nova ones) the later style wont snap. The CVs shred before that

i really dont see why your having such a problem,

see what speccy runs, hes pumping mega bhp and dont snap shafts or cv's (well most of the time lol)

its the m-tec ones that snap on the edge of the large bit in the middle of the shaft

That was on the earlier ones... the later ones were one piece and had no 'large' bits (where they were sleeved and welded)

I have seen them twist the splines.
