Had an old boy bring his 51 plate 206 in yesterday for a service & MOT. He has had it from new and it had an unbelievably low mileage of 4500 miles on the clock! He uses it once a week to do the shopping and has done an average of 450 miles a year over the last 10 years. He has it serviced & MOT'd every year without fail. I drove it and it was like brand new!

When I was at BMW we had a guy bring in his 2002 E39 530i Sport, it was black with beige leather & fully specced up. I saw it last about two years ago and I think it had only done just over 2,000 miles from new!

We also used to collect a Z3 from a lady once a year for its MOT, the only mileage that it did was from her house to the dealer each year, I think about 30 odd miles!
Not sure the story behind it but I think it was her husbands and he had passed away.

When I bought my Astra 888 off the first owner it was 3 years old and it had only covered a measley 1400 miles! The first owner had a Vectra B estate GSi, a MGB-GT with 60 k on the clock he'd had from new, the 888 and a brand new(At the time) Astra G GSi fully specced. The 888 had sat in the local dealers showroom(His friend was the DP) for months when he moved house then sat in his garage. I bought it and got given a company car shortly after but I could not bare to part with it so I kept it. It has been main dealer serviced each year and has only just done 7,000 miles. It is 10 years old next year

The Swing I have(See link below in my signature) has only covered just over 23,000 miles in 26 years, so less than a 1000 miles a year. Unfortunately I don't know a great deal of the history :( but still got a mint car.

I have not seen but I know of two Nova's, one owned by a 90 year old man and the other an elderly lady that has givrn up driving. They both live in the same close and my in-laws know the old boy
Apparently the lady's Nova has done in the 20k's and the old boys even less.
I am keeping my ear to the ground with these, hopefully grab one or both if they come up.

Anyone else know of any low mileage minters?

yeah Mowglis is genuine iirc.

When i was at vauxhall we would have an old lady bring her corsa b sxi in every year for mot and service. When i was there it had done 1800 miles. My mate says it still goes in, he mot'd it a month or so and it's just clocked 2k!

Last place i worked there was a couple of old blokes that lived together. They brought there Lada Riva in every year for an MOT. They had it from new and it just sat in the garage just incase they ever needed it. Had less than 1000 miles on the clock mid 800 ish.

I'be had 1 or 2 low mileage Novas!

1989 1.0 with 20k miles
1993 1.2i with 14k
1984 2 door saloon with 29k.
1989 1.2 with 8k.

My dads 78 Manta i200r has around 40k miles, now mega low, but was completely original before we got our hands on it!

Uncle had a 1979 Fiesta Millionth edition with 17k miles about a year past, sold it to someone in the south of Ireland who had another mark 1 Fiesta with 300 (yes three hundred) miles from new.

And more modern stuff - I bought a 2007 Ford Fiesta with 2200 miles on it a few months back, sold it to a family friend who also does small miles, so hoping it stays in good nick for a year or 2 yet so I can buy it back and keep!

Had to turn a 207 for an old fella at a funeral a while back, there was 800 odd miles on the clock, asked him how old it was when I got out, he answered, about 2 years old!

Ive not seen the sport in possibly 10 years so no pics, usual story 1 owner from new more money than sense and has just locked it away, the turbo i last saw about 3-4 years ago the old boy bought it from the dealers brand new, he wanted the diplomat but the dealer told him the turbo was better so he bought it, he still wears driving gloves when using it, its concourse!
