Looked at the Guide in the "how to"

fitting a 1.4 16v into the rally car, engine and wiring is off a 1600 8v.

car will be running on twin 40s, ideally i dont want to go down stand alone igntion etc for a bit yet...

what will i need to do, read all the bits about changing/cutting looms, everything like temp guage wiring etc will be wired up seperate to guages?

only thing im unsure of is wiring up the coil....

only one way to find out and thats to ask....

Thanks in advance!

you cant really use the 8v ignition system because there is nowhere to mount the dizzy unless you made a custom mount and ran it off the cam pulley.
i would say save up and go for the megajolt ignition setup

What about a Ford Edis system. There was a guide in PPC just after the mags relaunch or I probably have the haynes wiring.

it is the cheapest ignition system and it does the job, it can be mapped aswell, this is the setup i used to run my bike carbs on my c20xe
