has any one done this or know of a way to de anodizing thing?

Yes, it can be done, you can either strip the anodising off, or re-anodise in a different colour.

Heavy duty chemicals involved, what is it you want to strip?

I've got all the kit to do it, but haven't tried it all out yet......

got some engine covers n oil caps that are chavy blue etc

want to strip them and polish them up if posible

Just sand it off then imo, you're only gonna sand it down when you polish it anyway. Anodised coatings aren't mentally hard or anything, it's just a pretty colour and stops oxidising really.

Just do what you would do to polish it basically, when it comes off you'll be those few micron into the metal and it'll be gone and polished.

i found soaking it in neat bleach worked on a tattoo grip that was anodized work dont no what your try to de anodize
