The second Nova SR I bought about 10 years ago, when I went to look at it the owner told me there was no history with the car at all. So I bought it anyway as it was cheap back then, about 3 or 4 months after owning it I was wiring up a sub and amp to the boot, I lifted the rear seats, lifted the carpet under there and found the original service book all stamped up other than the most recent service.

I was pleased with that!

A mans thong with a printed monkey on the front , which made monkey noises as I threw it in the bin....thankfully I have always worn latex gloves since I found a lot of syringes in a different car.

I think I must be the only one that cleans my cars before selling them on! Some dirty bast@rds around.

Sounds like I've been lucky then, all my cars have been nice and clean when I've bought them. The most interesting thing I found was probably some paperwork in my Nova hiding under the carpet. Its the spec list for what to put on the car in the factory, all in Spanish naturally. I was impressed that it had survived all that time.

A cutout fold compartment in a sill of my last nova which looks like it was used to stash drugs/guns in there in the antibes spud has now.
A machete in another Nova.
A bullet
About a joints worth of resin.
In my old sr was the drivers manual-the old gadjee must have had a road rage incident with some one as he had ranted a scribble which read-"if i had been in my HGV i would have just carried on and wiped him out" LOL
Also a childrens gardening set in the boot of our old Astra SRi which my daughter was thrilled with-brand new trowels and forks etc.

Nowt out of the ordinary for me. The most recenet find was when changing the seats in my 106. It paid me out to the tune of 92p from under the seat rails.

My mate found £20 and an ancient condom behind the steering wheel pad on a car he bought. lol

Could well be. I think it's quite the possibility that the money was intended for his burning ring.

Just remembered, when working on a Cav GSI I had a few years back whilst doing the Nova up I found a 13mm Snap On spanner inside the nearside chassis leg. I was trying to find a rattle from the front end ! Had to get it out with an extending magnet tool.

It now sits on my wall with the other spanners!

Oh and no more rattle either!

On my old red Nova I found a rolled up glove behind the passenger side rear light cluster, looked like it had been used to prop the light unit up, there was something else there too but nothing interesting either.

While working at the bodyshop i got to clean the cars... Alot of taxis...

2rings, a gold braclet, many used condoms, a dildo, many adult nappies(taxi drivers are dirty c**t) uneaten and mouldy food, bits of finger nail, porn, photos of their wifes/girlfriends

While cleaning cars on the said, mostly the same. Worse was blood on the drivers and rear seats from a crash... Made me feel sick.

I still have it. It's only a small piece of paper, thats quite worn as you'd expect after lying under Nova carpet for around 20 years. I'll give it a scan later when I have a chance, it will hopefully come out readable.

Most likely a mechanic, our cordless phones have ended up on a few passenger seats doing rolling roads lol

we're pretty good at leaving inspection lights in interesting places at work, under cars usually. Terry went through a particularly good time when he lost one each day for a week, i found them all in the yard in eleventy million pieces lol

We kill inspection lights, got a load of reasonably crappy plastic ones a while back and they're all in pieces now, one we ducktaped up tried to set light to itself lol

lol we normally use those ring ones at £40 a throw, Terry has to wrap his in yellow insulation tape so he can see them when he props it up in a spring or something lol it also helps me spot them when they've been run over in the yard lol my current ring one has lasted over a year, whilst it's temporary snap on replacement lasted only 2 months before it died. cheap ftw :) lol
