I have a Valver engine and box in a 1.0 trip with original 4 speed linkage.
There is a plastic bush/clip/sleeve type thing which holds the ball and socket type joint together.
Mine has fallen apart. I've asked Vauxhall about a replacement but they will only sell the whole linkage (?80/90)
Without this bit of plastic i can't get reverse gear which is becoming a annoying.
Any ideas??????

If its the original - they do come out but it takes some effort and the ball joint can be damaged easily in doing so. The only way other than new is to advertise for the whole lot on parts wanted on here or try and find a scrappy with one. If it was a 2.0l linkage you'd be laffing cos they come out once a circlip is removed but they are bigger overall so no good to you
