x16xe egr removal

I'm putting a x16xe into a nova for the track an I'm after advice on the egr, can it be totally removed and will removing it bring the ecu light on also what have people done with the inlet manifold too get it a little more free flowing

any info or pics appreciated.

Whats the exhaust manifold off? I took the egr off the exhaust today and it left a hole in the middle.

jack... The manifold is a stainless 4-1. The part your talking about that you took off is SAI, EGR is at back of engine. Anyway what you need to do is make a plate that covers the hole left and fixes to one of the studs on manifold. link to how to take off.
