Are the square headlight version MK1 or MK2?

I was driving along today, looked in my rear view mirror, nothing was there then looked 2 secs later and a white one was right behind me. Had minilite style wheels, looked very clean.

He took the exit and I carried on same road, after about half a mile saw another one, baby blue colour and 4 massive rally style fogs, also very clean.

Just thought its a bit weird cos you never see them on road especially not in this weather, unless a meet was going on earlier or something.

Both mk1 and 2 have square lights depending on the model.

There is something going on somewhere, as I have seen a load of awesome aircooled Dubs knocking about too. The RSOC and Bugs/Buses sometimes gather in a pub near mine - though not usually together.

I have been building it for 10 years,the nova has been a big distraction,spec is full weld in cage big Dif gearbox and exhaust tunnel full 6 link,weld in cage gartrac tubs etc, i have an all steel atmo cossy yb on slide throttle fuel injection and motec management,custom built manifold and exhaust,just need to find some money for split rims and a few bits and bobs and she will be good to go ,may finish it in another 10 years :cry:

This is when pretty much all the chassis work was finished ,engine mounted in bay a bit lower and further back than standard to aid weight distribution sat on some borrowed split rims

I've also seen a blue one driving along the A19 as if it'd come from Sunderland heading to Durham (northbound? My dad had a sh!t brown Mk1 estate 1.3 about 16 years back. Bought it for £50, scrapped it a year later. Replaced it with a beige Mk1 Fiesta, again for £50... scrapped that a year later too.
