Right, got some coolant issues.

Is the temp sender underneath the inlet manifold on an E16SE engine the best place to bleed the system?

Also, I'm getting heavy coolant loss, but I have determined it is not head issues (no mayo and there really should be after ~100 miles) but its loosing coolant at a staggering rate. Checked coolant pipes, all seem to be ok.

Anyone any ideas?

you can have it leak past the head gasket with out the mayo.. but i would recommend sitting it somewhere & warming it right up so yuo can see if there is any coolant loss from a pipe etc.

You dont bleed a GM system as you would a car with a bleed screw etc - you just take the header cap off and wait for the heaters in teh car to get warm..

If its losing it that quickly it would be smoking badly - or leaking onto the floor - I will guess (if its not the h/g) that its the water pump leaking as that can sometimes not show as much due to it being a fine mist, rather than a drip.

Heater matrix, you checked your footwells for water.
