View Full Version : Crank sensor/bracket and toothed bottom pulley for turbo conversion
What Vauxhall engine can I get a crank sensor, bracket and pulley with a normal nova alternator belt fitment that will fit to my 1300 crank and block?
Need to sort it out for my 1300 turbo conversion, needs to be compatible with Megasquirt as well
I'm thinking C14/16SE but as there quite rare is there anything else I can get the bits from?
Thanks in advance
Edd
Have a wee look around here edd,

Cheers
Do there crank sensors just bolt to the block then?
Was thinking that some vaux bits might be more straight forward to fit tho?
I'm pretty sure they do or you make up a simple bracket to hold it ( a bit like a universal fmic kit )
I'm unsure if the vauxhall stuff works with MS, teeth count etc
You could ask Novacabrio what was used on that sport he rebuilt, it has a crank sensor for the jevneys
Good idea, ill text Mark tomorrow
Getting all these bits together for this conversion is very testing lol worse than building the car lol and I ain't even finished that yet lol
The vauxhall one does look a bit different lol

Think that's what I need
Need to know if that only came on C16/14se novas or if the came on corsa b/astra mk3? ??
As don't want a multi V belt, a vaux set is probably cheaper and will go straight on

I think all the 1.2, 1.4 & 1.6 8v pulleys from the early nineties are all the same
Only coilpack engines have the teeth for the sensor, so only the 1.4 Sri and C16 had them
later corsa's and astras may have V belt type but most are multi-rib
