winter/nova's

So what do you all do with your novas over winter?

Store them away, keep using them, or use it as a excuse to strip them apart and upgrade/change parts?


Also what car fo you use if its stored away during the cold months (pictures)?

mine is off the road now taken engine out and prepping bay ready to drop the let in, will be a winter project.bought a corsa as a daily was gonna leave it standard but that didnt last long now decked on gaz coilovers and other bits was gonna do a gsi rep.

Mine is Sorn for the winter but will be kept in the garage where it always lives - driving my company fiesta as a daily which is probably the worst car i have ever had to drive!

Well up here the roads get gritted almost everyday from November to April, on the motorways we use White salt pre-wetted with salt brine, it loves to go NOM NOM NOM NOM into metal lol

Use mine nearly everyday. Obviously if i had a nova worth keeping pristine i wouldnt but mines average so meh

Nova is being taken off the road at the end of october for the last time, so won't be usuing that over winter.

Will use the cav mostly once thats back on the road, then if it snows (probably not til April lol) will get the GT4 out. No pics of that as everyone has seen it already lol

My novas are tucked up in the garage, the way they have been for 3 years. This is my everyday/winter car. snow dosent effect you when youve got quattro ;)

I have been thinking not to run the S4 this year. I dont want to run it with the comps over the winter so i would have to put the OE rims on it. Two of the wheels need tyres at the cost of around £250. I was thinking I could get a non turbo impreza for around £1000 with test and tax, run it over winter then sell around april. I recon you wouldnt loose much more than £250. What do you think? I recon i could have more fun with a cruddy impreza than my pride and joy S4 and still be quids in?

Last year i just drove mine but bouncing off walls and getting it stuck sideways in a lane, Im going to just keep it off road for now on, and add to it in winter months, and just use the boring 4x4 lol

Oh and some dick with an alfa bounced off it :( he didnt feel a thing, my poor nova got shunted and moved grr...luckily he was a panle beater and you would never have known lol!

mk1 will be used over winter, but probably not in snow.
