semi synthetic means it is semi synthetic
part synthetic means it is part synthetic

i hope this has cleared the matter up.

seriously, semi is 50:50 synthetic, part is whatever the oil maker wants to put in it.

a 2.0 8v is hardly in need of it, just use gm 15w50. its cheap enough

I wouldnt trust a damn thing that dopey oil sales say ;) They are just after selling you a fully synth at £10+ per litre.

Part Synth and semi synth are essentially (as far as 95% of us care) the same.... Any old 10w40 will do you fine tbh.

10w40 semi-syn is fine for a healthy 2.0 8v.
