Hi all.

Changed spark plugs today, put the new one in and number 1 plug has snapped! As far as i can tell nothing has fallen in the engine, its just the whole threaded bit and the electrode that is left, the whole insulated bit came out.

engine is 2.0 seh and plugs are NkG if that matters.

whats the best way to get it out, there is about 8mm of threads still outside the head?

surely you can still put a plug socket on it?

Well the nut had been snapped of but I managed to hammer a 13mm socket over the threads and get it out with that, was propper sweating it though.

Another question for the guru's, I went to get 1 more sparkplug today to replace it and they gave me a different one to the 3 I have already fitted. The ones I have fitted are for a late 2.0 8valve and match the ones that came out but he gave me one for an early 2.08valve mk2 cav engine which is the engine I have. Is there going to be any difference? I didn't think the engine changed much.
