Do you actually get them in a uk car, if so how common & how easy will it be to obtain wiring loom and switchs etc.

Never seen them fitted to a Nova, found the mk1 switch at Billing a few years ago tho. Iirc you can make them out of mk2 cav inners in Nova outers.

electric mirrors are about as pointless as heated seats!!

^ So damned useful in the winter? lol

Being able to move mirrors without having to lean across the car is very useful IMO.

As for the mirror setup, I've got all the stuff required to electrify the mirrors at home (even got some heated elements to sit behind the glass). I was going to do it, then got bored and didn't complete lol

What! Standard Novas never had decent heaters, that's the only reason why the big block conversion started lol

Thanks for the comments folks, came across those leccy mirrors on the bay so was just wondering if there was such a thing and was a wiring loom available? To be fair it probably wouldnt be that difficult a thing to do with mixing and matching bits from corsa's etc. etc.
Like some say theres no great need for them in a Nova but no harm in having them :d

Nova heaters are shoite lol

Kev, I'm pretty sure the wiring diagrams in the back of Haynes cover the electric mirrors - if not, check out a cav Mk2 manual as they motors (and therefore I guess the wiring) is pretty much the same. Obviously if I wasn't so lazy I'd fix mine up and do an article on it but meeehhhhhh lol

Mine dont even have the interior adjustment, i have to get out and adjust them manually, only to sit back into the drivers seat and find out there worse than before. Poverty spec ftl lol

even tho i trimmed the inner triangles around the adjusters, it kinda makes me regret cutting the arms flush, it now needs some skill on the M-Way to reach out the car to adjust the passenger one at 70

You should fit a voice activated mirror, it's called a passenger lol

The electric mirror switch & loom taken from the car as shown on the first page of this thread. The switch fits in a clip in surround on the panel to the left of the headlight switch.

I will be fitting it to my new Swing at some point.

Nobody else would be seen dead driving your car so no need for adjustment?
You or someone else knocked it off and you have superglued it together so can no longer adjust it?
