hope he dont forget about all that tyre shine when he goes round a bendlol
Bonnet spoils it IMO :(
+1
It's been on the scene a few years and is wonderful. The bonnet is not....
Looks ok
Still can't understand why you can still get new shells/genuine panels for them rot boxes tho
Vauxhall heritage should have a word with themselves and sort out new nova stuff

There all made by firms that have no ties with Austin/Rover etc Same as you can now get brand new Mk1 & Mk2 Escort & VW Beetle shells from abroad.
 really? Where can you get escort shells from ?
Someone needs to get a decent nova shell, few spot weld drill bits and crack on and sort new nova shells out :d

Dont know where exactly but Ive heard theres a company importing them from abroad, £13.5k or there abouts.
Heard this through some one who deals A LOT in old Scorts, he got a collection of 9 & certainly knows his stuff!

lol no chance lol I would like it to stay in one piece for as long as possible
Love the dash and bits, they look awesome. Love the engine painting.. Think it will help stop leaks? lol

i call bull sheets... the tooling for the mini was saved when they took production away from longbridge... there is no tooling for mk1 & 2 escorts anywhere... the bloke who does those eurocar oval racer things has started doing carbon/grp silhouette shells that are really impressive, but ford are way too keen to protect their brand for someone to make 'ford' replica shells
i look forward to beuing proven wrong, but the car mags & interweb would have gone crazy over a story like that.

I like that. Alot.
Im guessing you can still get Mini panels as there must have been more made the the Nova. Same with the mk1/mk2 Escorts.

I though exactly the same Mike, but this guy is adamant. And he does always have/be able to supply mint condition shells in primer :S although I do know in Australia Mk1 & 2's ar very cheap (£6~8k complete car in GBP) so for all I know he could just be buying them up & reselling them.
Not that it makes any odds to me as Im not in the meerkat for one lol

Quite possibly still being made somewhere much like the mk1 golfs you used to be able to get in SA.

Other than very few of us, who would actually buy new nova shells though. Surely the mini bits are popular because they are known the world over, and escorts for rallying. So it probably wouldnt be worth the effort to shift a only a shonky novas and I certainly wouldn't be paying thousands for a new shell.
Never really liked minis but that one works for me, be even cooler if it had the flat front on it (clubman??).

That is thee front to have on a mini!
bonnet is gay. The rest of the car is stunning. some very neat touches, i love the way they made the dash fit around the rollcage. wicked skills.

If that bonnet had been cut out like that but had a clear perspex top over it would have been better, I suppose the fact the engine is sticking out though won't be helping things really lol
im sure i saw a xe mini a few years ago at a show and they had made the front end a couple of inches longer than standard to dodge the engine.
i actually quite like the bonnet. :) car is awesome!
