The mini pick up was a cheap utility vehicle, any it's best I don't comment further!

I dont know how, but they are MASSIVE (same foot print as a Freelander!!) yet have zero space inside nor boot space... good effort BMW

They've been nicknamed Maxi's for years lol

It's probably the CAN wiring loom which is actually about 3 inches thick thats taking up all the room Stuart lol

Well without meaning to judge or criticise anyone who buys any sort of bmw mini...(I have nova so can't talk!) but I woudl rather an actual bmw anyday.

Bearing in mind there is more room in the back of a mini than there is in the MINI one etc.

However, each to thier own..........

It's all about the name though, as that's what people buy into. That and wrongly trading off the original Mini's acheivements. I don't mind a mk1 BINI Cooper S, but using that name is all wrong.

I know what you mean, people used to always say to me "I used to have one"
WE have now reached the stage where people often say the same about Novas, perhaps Mercedes should make a huge car with wheel arch blisters and call it a Nova?

The BMW mini will NEVER feel like an old mini,

As said they just rip off the name, I mean calling a BMW mini estate a Clubman??!?!?! WTF!

True, although the BMW Cooper S does look nicer then the classic mind.

And the classic is definetly one of thee cheapest cars to modify to the hilt!

Im sure it has less room, it's slower and yet more expensive than the equivalent "normal" bodystyle?

I'm surprised Mowgli hasn't been in here saying stuff like "rose tinted specs" etc.

I'm not a fan of the new "mini"

Just wrong. Sure they might be a good car to drive etc, but you will always be comparing it to it's original namesake. And as for that countryman one... I won't say anymore the language filter would have a field day....
