View Full Version : pro sport coilovers
has anyone ever bought these for a car?
ive just got a set for the E30, should be here next week. i also noticed they did nova ones for £200.
i read that ProSport is just Jamex under a different name.
lol
im assuming you can afford more lol
Seen them on 2 VW Scirocco's and although I probably wouldn't touch cheap coilovers now, they were both pleasantly surprised with the performance... whether or not they have ever actually driven a well set up car before is a different matter ;p
ive been in a car on JOMs. if they aint wound right down then they are quite comfy. and had Jamex rear shocks on the nova and they wern't too bad. if i want proper coilovers for the bm...im looking at £750+ as it replaces the whole front shocks and hub assembly!

Novas have poor suspension anyway, so what half-good kit feels OK on a heavier better engineered car (replacing 100k old OE stuff) isnt really a good comparison.
However most of these budget coillies seem to get reasonable praise on all sorts of forums. Just dont expect it to last.
ive been in a mk2 golf on JOMs and a 4.2 A8 on JOMs lol. light and heavy. i dont expect them to last a million miles lol but my MOT is in nov and i needed front shocks anyway. wasnt much cheaper to buy a set height kit.
