Yeah Yeah it's french but it does handle nice!
So picked a E plate 1.6 GTI up that needed some work - intended on using it for road rallying but just realised the cage I bought for it would mean the back seats being removed which goes against the road rally rules....so I either need to find a new cage, another way of racing (track or ?) or actually rally it but think that may drain my funds quickly.
The stem seals are away so just ran a flush through to see if that softens them up. Also had the breathers replaced, right suspension arm and engine mount replaced. I'll fire some pics up when I strip it to pop the cage in and new door on.
Really surprised on how well these hold up to rust compared to Novas.

Have you still got the front seats ? and are you changing steering wheel or keeping the standered one ??

Right think rallying is out of budget and I'd rather buy a complete car so this one wil be fast road / track car. I think the head may be away and I want to strip the whole car down and re-build.....so pics to follow.
Look forward to seeing this,im just doing the same with mine at the minute.
