Hey guys, i'm looking to buy another nova, and with so many 2 litre's about I wondered if I could insure one?
I'm 19, 1 year ncb, I live out in the sticks, got an sp30, had my licence 2 years, and i'm currently paying £1200 on a 1.5 civic. I haven't got a quote with anyone like sky insurance, but I know I can get the discount for being a club member, but I was wondering if anyone is my age and currently insuring a 2 litre?
I know some people have said they insured one when they were 19 x amount of years ago, but with the price of insurance these days i'm not too sure
Why don't you phone a few companies to get some quotes?
ofcourse you can but the question is can you afford it
try insuring a 2.0 cav or calibra then add a bit more to it

It wont be cheap, but you can get insured
call flux/hic/sky, i paid 1200 at 19 with 2 years ncb but it was about 4/5 years ago
Call some companies and find out, but of those few who may offer cover they all will no doubt be expensive. Although if you're paying £1200 on a civic, I guess you don't mind paying through the nose for insurance? lol
I think Sky would want you to have more experience. Dunno about Flux though.

i have found elephant to be good for young drivers, im 20 with 1years NCB and i can insure a astra gsi for £1700 with elephant, fully comp which i dont think is too bad as im currently paying £2000 TPFT for a clio sport 172 on premium choice. Best Thing to do is just try a few companies and find out whats best, but i advise to take ur time looking as you can get a really good deal you just have to find it.
Sky require 2 years driving experience, over 21, 1 year NCB iirc.

Where are you located tbh it will be the main issue to price, hopefully not a BD or Hull postcode as they're the most high risk areas.
I'm not sure there's any car insurance companies that will insure semi skimmed milk
Wondered how long it'd be before someone made another unfunny milk joke.
Defo ring some companies and find out, I don't think there's any online quote systems left that allow engine conversions. I'd expect it to be expensive though

I think Admiral/Elephant/etc have a "non-standard engine replacement" option... lol
But yeah, pick up the phone and call round.

Are you insuring two pints or four??
lol.
I'm with admiral and IIRC Admiral are similar to Direct Line and really don't like you screwing around with an engine conversion... But don't quote me on that.
Im with admiral and when i rung up for a quote for when i put the 16xe in mine they said if i modified my car in anyway they would cancel my policy.

As I'm not sure there is any ware that insures beverages (as there consumables etc) and batteries could be an iffy one to insure to...
How ever, i believe there insurance for hats, so a Red Top Hat would be covered!
Result.

The whole "I do not know what a redtop is" joke is now to the beating a crumbled horses skeleton stage imo, it was past funny when people wanted stickers making up.

I was 19 with 0 NCB and paid £1500 with HIC on my 2 pints, however that was 5 years ago and insurance has gone through the roof in the last few years
