View Full Version : Corsa; flame red trip
I'm on here often looking at Nova's as I'm planning on buying one in the next few months for a project car, as my corsa is my every day car i cant do some of the big plans on it that involve taking it off the road.
Anyways here it is.. copied from another site.
Well as some of you know I have a new corsa now :) Was bored of Arden blue so got a flame red.
Before I start here's the arden that my brother now owns..

http://www.corsasport.co.uk/carimages/8704/DSCF0075.JPG
Now for the new corsa.. Its a 1.2 8 valve flame red trip. Before anyone points it out I know the license plate is  Its dones 87k miles. Some of you will say I've downgraded, but in my eyes I haven't I wanted it to have as least electrics as possible. :)
Current mods
Full respray in flame red
Irmscher Soft stars 15"
Lowered on 40mm Nova springs
Headlamp protectors
Full sport interior
Momo carbon gear knob
Sport spoiler
Punto rear wiper
Kamei front grill.
Bad bits;
Crack in front bumper as you'll see on headlight pic
No power steering (no big deal)
Future plans:
Steinmetz front grill is on its way from Ryan (RCoughtrie) off C5RSA :(
White slabs going on
Depo headlights off arden
Rear lights off arden
That'll be it till PVS modification wise but will be under sealing car changing plates etc and prepping for engine conversion.

I find it much more relieving owning a car that I can still get parts for direct from GM over the counter without having to pay a scene tax for exclusivity. But thats just me.

being a trip did your car not have a rev counter before? as my trip does not have a one just a big round speedo...
is it just a simple swap the clocks over or is there more involved?
It did not have a rev counter when I got it, first you need to get your hands on some 10-130 mph clocks, must start at 10 mph not zero because there cable driven, the 0mph ones are electric, then remove the kick panel where the ecu is, look at the block connected to the ecu and find the pea green wire, it should be taped to another wire doing nothing. Take that, and you have to extend it long enough to reach the clocks.
Then once all that is done, you need a little metal pin that all the other wires have in the block, (you'll see when you get to it) then wire it in there in the right hole, then connect up and fire away..
I'm not to good at explaining this, theres a more in depth how to on corsasport.co.uk :)
