View Full Version : will a c14se inlet manifold fit on a c14nz head?
Hello people, i dont think ive posted on here before, im wanting to do a mpi converion on my corsa, from spi to mpi..
I have everything but the c14se head, but i can put the c14se cams into the nz head, but ill the manifold from the c14se bold straight onto the nz head?
Hopefully this is in the right section as i was in a rush
This should be in mechanical but yes it WILL fit be not properly as the ports are the wrong shape you would be better off trying to source a mpi head or modify yours to suit.
Sorry for putting it in the wrong section, ahh okay. Would there be any problems using my head? IE loss in power compared to using the se head.
round port manifold
square port head... its not worth doing.
It probabily wont run very well and will most likely lack power probs wont be much quicker than it is now untill its sorted.
Ok mate, thanks. I'll try source a head then.
IMO the c14se has larger valves too and a different shape to the combustion chamber, a E16 head would do though (i think) or a C16
Ok I may look for a c16se head instead because that would give a bit more power would it not?
Maybe not but I think they have the biggest valves. remember that they have coil packs though and novas with c14se dont. so the cam is different
im taking all the c14se parts from a corsa sri if that helps
corsa sri head or astra mk3 c14se have coilpack engines, seen 4 of them in my local scrappies at one point so there pretty easy to get hold off mate

Not true, the early C14SE's ran a dizzy, the later ones ran a dispack using the same ECU as the C16SE (with a different map chip).
I'll be using the C14SE cam, so may aswell just get the head to go with it lol. That way i know it will all fit
Is the bottom end of an NZ the same as SE? Sorry for all the questions :)
