Bought these ages ago, didn't know when i got them they would have the bit down the divider bar, and didn't like the look of it so never fitted them, but this afternoon i decided it was time to modify them!

See here you go..

Got them both like this, then sanded the edge with fine grit like so, leaving a white scratched finish..

so one of these an a few quick passes across the edge!

Strange question but was the Climair logo a complete sticker or individual painted on letters?

Are you offering this as a service to club members then Scott? Since being disappointed with mine, they just got put to the back of the loft

Benn, cheers dude.

Nobby, your a fine one to talk! lol

Iain, that's a rather broken Buddha's Head ornament, the missis has had since at uni, was not impressed when it got broke by me and the guy moving our stuff in! lol need to try glue ti together at some point!

Tim, Carries pretty good really, Ive got all my car stuff in the house, as when the garden was "re landscaped" the garage got knocked down, and the cellar is full of her dad's stuff, so the house it is for my gear..

Rich/Graeme, yes they are stickers, i just used my finger nail to gently scrape them off, then some auto glym tar remover to get the residue off, or olive oil will get it off to.
Graeme, are you saying you want me to do the same to yours? to be honest mate it was an easy job with the tools etc as seen in the pics, i would think you could do it mate, just take your time if your not sure on the cutting side, and hold everything tight to avoid any slips etc, but if you want mate i could do them.

So i washed and waxed the mk1 today and fitted one of the deflectors up into place, as with my mk4 Astra one's i used some double side foam tape.

Look better, but I'm not 100% happy with the added stress/strain they place the glass/winder mechanism's under when you wind it up over them into the seal, so I'm unsure if I'll keep them yet, might have to get them out and do further mods to them for more ease of use.

Also does anyone know if the mk1 might have bronze tints in, never really looked at them before, but in certain lights/angles they look tinted etc.

Look at the logo on the glass, if it says 'Bronce' then it is bronze tint. If you put a sheet of white paper behind the glass that should also show it.

Dude the heko one's look way too NEW for that, and are all rounded off etc, some one on here has them on there car, cant think who?

Heko one's here (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?145926-nova-wind-deflectors-pics-please/page3) But as you'll see there very dark, almost black etc.

Think its Lewis who has them, I did think they looked ok, probably need to look into further tho

The GM seem to look very deep, plus they go for piss take prices lol

Look at my added link mate, tbh it's up to you, but if you had these you would have to mod them, and as said, I'm still not 100% happy with how much strains placed on the glass/window reg mechanism etc, so I'll have to see if i can make more mods to ease them off.

Heko ones do look dark

Do the Climair ones come in a version like the Heko ones? Or is it a case that you got to cut them down?

Seen a set of GM ones in the forsale section, £120 !!!!! surely that ain't the going rate for a set? ! lol

Not sure on if ClimAir do a none down the divider set, could mail them to check, els it's cut down job..

Gm as in Opel one's? yeah looks like they all sell for over £100 tbh, lol I'm sure when they first came out they were peanuts like most things, but now getting hard to get etc..
