Don't think it was completed, shame really as it looks like he has some good skills
Lack of cash shouldn't of stopped him tho, must of made a mint from taking money with no intention of sending parts lol
i was going to say, didnt he turn in to some sort of thief??
I ordered a gearbox mount off him and it took 6 weeks, but i suppose at least my part turned up.
Does he still trade as chris astley?
shame really looked like he had some skills.

Would make an awesome base for a project. That's if it hasn't been weighed in!!
Shell was for sale on eBay about 2 weeks ago :thumb:

his welding skills were better than his buisness skills.

I got a feeling he didn't do the welding.

Nah he had a unit in the same Mill as me, he did weld it looked mint.
Like someone on here said welding skills much better than business skills. He was a nice guy but a complete dick who took too much on and f**ked up royally!!

Was for sale in his other items but its not showing it as an ended auction on eBay, ergo, Im guessing its an out of eBay sale.

They show up as ended auctions.
Only ones that mysteriously disappear are those that are pulled by ebay.

The shell was for sale on ebay - i was watching it aswell - it got removed early.
As said before - it was Chris that welded it.

Dont know then, was definetly on there as it was in my watched items as I recognised the car/project.

Chris was/is an awesome welder. He did a few jobs for me and was always top notch to deal with. I was really shocked about what happened.

What kind of state is the car in?
Complete and just been MSA log booked ready to start rallying next year
Is this the car that had an old thread on here with it being seam welded by Chris Ashtly?

Post some pics up and we can have a look. Although I think you need a few more posts before you can post pics.
the one I have was built by CA I am sure he owned it for a while, looks like the one in the old thread. It's orange red colour, cracking car

Kris is a friend on mine. It's a good car you've got there mate. It's not the one from the start of this thread but a really good car non the less.
I love it, been doing a few track days, the more work I do the more nice touches I find, it's been real well put together.
