Anyone know how to wire in a distributor and coil instead of having one of the sparkbox ignition?

You'll need a dizzy, loom and ecu off a dizzy drive c14se. Why do you want to lose the dizzy? The dis is much more reliable IMHO. :)

Is the camshaft housing not different on these? Ie no hole for a dizzy which means undoing all the headbolts to change the housing?

yer i have a cam carrier from the yar that the dizzy engine was in but i havent got any wiring. i have been told by the bloke at the rolling road that i may be able to gain a few horsepower or atleast smooth what i have out. so this is my little task now lol i no it has to havea different ecu i think but i not sure about the rest and how much work actolly needs doing to it for this change?
