it was running a nova sport engine with 143-144 real sport carb's loved the sound but want some more power so going for a red top with twin 45 this time around
arter a good poke around the van to seam's to be rotting from the inside out the arch's and engine bay are fine but from inside the legs are going likes its not been coated right when it was made i've had it 6-7 years and alway been paited or under sealed but once the rot is in its in!!!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/sad.gif

i've got a disc rear beam but to get the nova on the road i'm going to put my old one on to get a mot then start playing with the disc beam later so was down and my mum and dad's and she was jet washing the decking so just dropped it back there and knew it would take long for the old girl to have a go!!!!http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/lmao.gif
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i216/NOVA-VANMAN/novavan004.jpghttp://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/lmao.gif
so striped it down to give it a paint
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i216/NOVA-VANMAN/novavan012.jpg
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i216/NOVA-VANMAN/novavan020.jpg

very clean shell shame about the van wot id are you goin to use
its going on the shell's reg it's going to be G reg, the real van was J reg. but i'm going to cut the vin number out the van cause you never knowlol
a would put the van id on it some people mite bitch that its a ringer but at the end of the day there both yours to do what you want and it will be a van on log book still
That is a brilliant project with an excellent out come on it it's mint well done
Also it's an old car I wouldn't worry much about the vin stick which ever you want on it I've used the same vin on 3 different cars lol few laws against it but they were all mine and not for sale so

with being away all i'm doing is drinking beer and spending hour's on the lap top thanks to the british weather. so been on ebay alot looking for bits for the van's new engine, so today's shopping list is 30mm rampipe's, 60mm air fliter's and a service kit for the twin 45s:p http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i216/NOVA-VANMAN/newvanengine.jpg
found a pic of what the inside look's like i'm not going to fit any carpets the sound deadering is removed i've run the rear half or the loom in the sill's.
had a 50/50 time with the roof at one point there was going to be no roof lining and paint it.... but didn't and have left it to fit a new roof liner but wish i'd paint it now:cry:
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i216/NOVA-VANMAN/Photo0801.jpg
not sure which engine i'm i'm going to use yet i've got two red top's but not going to make a start on them till the shell is off being sprayed then get them in bit's and see which is best, cause i've not got the room to do it all now.

leave the roof lining, bare roofs can cause nasty head injurys! (fine in track/rally cars when your wearing a helmet)

alright chaps been a while and a little more has been done but where to starthttp://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/facepalm.gif
started with a little few job's to do in work welded a 10mm plate and extra plate in the back plus machined down my bottom pully
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i216/NOVA-VANMAN/Photo1011.jpg
with the engine back together with a good clean and some paint the next big step was the big pushhttp://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif
also tried my SR samco hose's on few extra needed one being a 40>36 mm could not get it to stretch that big
so in she went, all engine mounts where painted any anything else i could think ofhttp://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/lmao.gif

http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i216/NOVA-VANMAN/Photo1019.jpg
but to my luck the one with the smallest pully has bolt's that run the width of the alternator which stop the swing on it bottom arm by hitting the under side of the webershttp://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/facepalm.gif
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i216/NOVA-VANMAN/Photo1026.jpg
