New clutch, cable is well out.....

Right fitted a new clutch today to my nova running a f20 box with std nova clutch cable,
Thing is now i've had to adjust the cable right up to get the pedal in the same sort of place,

Is this a common thing or just down to a different make of clutch etc,

your old clutch would have been a fair few mm thinner than the new one, perfectly normal.

As said pal if you have fitted a new clutch it will be thicker than your old one, have you changed the bearing aswell?

Yes new bearing fitted and it was a luk clutch kit from autovaux i had to space the the white plastic round block with two washers to take up the slack as the adjuster is pretty much all the way up the thread .
