12st engine

ive recently bought another nova with a 12st engine fitted altho it has no inlet and exhaust mani's, what i want to know is- is their anything form the engine that can be used to build up a kind of 'hybrid' engine of mix and match parts or is it only good the the scrap yard?

The head is the same as the 1.3

it is possible, with work & a 1.3 crank & rods to make a decent 1.4.... But it will cost..

If it is half decent, its worth a few bob on ebay....


The 1.2 crank would be fine for my 1.2spi block/12st crank to make an ohc 993cc screamer type project that might never get off the ground...

I have 1300 crank and rods for sale, PM me if any use. Also got some waisted stem oversize REC valves for the head. PM if interested.

just remember that you need to rebore it before fitting a longer crank or the rings will hit the groove......

its good to know it may still have its uses then, im not too fussed about cost as im willing to do this over time as a learning exercise more than anything and if it goes tIts up then at least ive gave it a go lol
