I've just bought a Mk2 nova merit, converted to a 2.5 V6 by powercrazy motorsport in lincoln.

Heres a list of what the nova had when i bough it:-
-Standard C25xe
-F16 box
-256 x 24 grooved discs
-astra gte calipers
-g max shocks and springs
-roose motorsport silicon hoses
-chassis strenghting kit
-14" steel wheels
-standard 1.2 exhaust with cat

My plans are:-
-Z32SE Engine
-F28 Gearbox + Quaife LSD
-stitch weld the front end
-Plain Black silicone hoses
-2.5" exhaust system
-Uprated drive shafts
-GTE Brake servo
-coilovers
-14" steel wheels with vauxhall center caps
-Standard interior
-Full body respray in china blue
-Sort out and tidy the wiring loom
-MK2 to MK1 exterior (later MK1)

To much to list, but thats the general idea!

heres a couple of pics when i first got it

No offence mate, but Paul seems like a cnut lol he swears blind a Nova doesn't need stitch welding for a V6, and takes 2 years to XE your's and forget's to paint the bay? :tard:

Rob will come around eventually, he's driven both of our Nova's now, so the disease will slowly eat away at him untill he has no choice but to buy one. then his life will be ruined, just like the rest of us lol

Balley

Agree'd with lewis on both statements

Near enough stripped the whole car out apart from a few bits, lower front valance and rear arches are now welded on, balley and rob came round to help me take the engine out so its reading for wire wheeling up for stitch welding the front end and theres a little bit of plating that needs doing aswell. heres a few pics

3.2 is what im going to do when i do my v6 nova, guna keep it looking standard on the outside aswell, proper sleeper.

Balley
19-11-11, 07:22 PM
Same with this. Chris wants it looking like a standard Mk1 on the outside, even keeping the steels.. Seeing his previous work I would say its going to be mint as he is a perfectionist.. Its handy for us as we live close to each other, he can do the body work I can do the mechanical side so we help each other out a lot. And if you haven't noticed we are doing the strips at the same time in the same stages bar my engine is still in as I need to make a Fannymold lol.

I was always told the x30xe with G cams and MSD ecu was the fastest way to go with a v6?

Are the 3.2s quicker now?

You were told wrong then mate about the ecu anyway as msd didn't do anything to the ecu the only difference to a standard Sri vectra with the Gsi were cams and a back box on the performance side anyway just as with the st200

I reckon its BS personally as my sister had a 2.5 V6 Vectra and I couldnt notice any difference at all before/after she had 3.0 cams put in it!

Cheers mate, yeah i've been told the 3.0 is a bit of a dog out of the lot of them lol, i've still got my 2.5 i know its revs better than the others but i'm getting the 3.2 so i can have an engine that i dont have to push and the 3.2 are standard at roughly 210bhp so then overtime i can increase that, are you still sticking the saab v6 turbo lump in yours at some point mate?

Wasn't your sisters a Gsi tho? If so the inlet cams on the Gsi are the same as the 3.0
