fuel pump wiring

right, ive recieved my facet fuel pump and filter king regulator

i know i can just earth the pump and fit a switch to the live or wire it into the ignition

on the instructions it says theres a away of earthing the earthing the pump as usual then joining the power wire onto the oil pressure switch

does the pressure switch give of enough voltage to run a pump?

also i know if using a r1 pump it cuts off when the carbs are full so it dosnt overflow, how will it work with the facet pump and filter king?

the pump im using is a facet solid state pump

I would forget any factory wiring and run a new 12V feed. Not sure what voltage the pressure switch receives, but it'll be 5v or 12v, seems an overly complicated and error prone way of wiring it to me?

You could use the oil pressure switch as an input to a relay for the pump, also mind to put a fuse in aswell,

im not too fussed wiring it normally, it was just one of the options on the idiot manual lol

Good old fashioned on/off switch works well (and if hidden can act as an anti-theft device)
