1600 gsi to 1200 4 speed f10????

jus wondering if the gsi block will fit the 4 speed box (old one with the big nut on the end) as the fly wheels are diffrent an if i swaped them then surley the started wouldnt reach..? an also big block small block??? how do u tell wots wots an are the heads diffrent? any help would make me happy :)

you need the f13 5speed box realy or f16

You need an F13 or F15, an F16 is no good as its a big block gearbox. As you have said swapping the flywheel will cause problems with the starter motor

also the 1600 will fit an f13 box but the bellhousing & flywheel on the f10 is smaller, and the starter position is different

the innards out of the f10 will fit into the f13 casing.

the big block engine as a general rule is the old 1600cc pre 88, 1800cc, pre 97 & 2000cc engines

C14se'scame with both f10 & f13. So yeh there will be a way of making them work
