c20xe rebuild

i started this thread for any questions i have about rebuilding my c20xe.

where can i get new bolts to hold the main bearing caps down?

does the main crank bolt holding on the bottom bolt need replacing? if so where can i get a new one?

you can normally get nuts and bolts from vauxhall for not much or you could upgrade to ARP.

I got the bottom pulley bolt (big torx head one) from Vaux for about a tenner

Same with the main cap bolts.

Think Haynes says to replace the pulley bolt. I know lots of people reuse it without problems though so...

how many teeth should be on the water pump for the late engine 21 or 25?

i got my timming belt kit and water pump but the pump must be the wrong one
