I keep trying To avoid them as ever time I see one of the corsa vxrs I start wondering if I can afford one lol and now work are sending me to a dealership to get repairs done to my van even tho its a vw caddy lol could this be fait some unknown forces at work trying to make me spend all my money every month on insurance petrol and finance payments or could it just be pure and utter conveniece?

VXR engine in Nova. And install leathers, etc etc so you dont miss creature comforts. You know thats a much nicer option

I have my xe nova being built right now aswell and I'm sure the insurance is going to put me in debt wonder what the vxr would be like also paying 2k a year on the mx5 can't afford to keep up with all these cars lol

Not a down point really mate lol everyone rants about how good the 500s are but also how girly they look so the corsa has the best of both worlds imo

I dont like car finance or just generally see the point in spending £XXXX a month to run vehicles-its ridiculous.
And the comment about how a 20 year old nova is better than a new corsa is just lol

But any car comes with a cost do you not drive Andy

Yeah,i run a 1.3 cdti astra and my escort van which i use for business for a total of around £300 per month-thats fuel, insurance (business on the van) and tax. (Roughly £200 of that being fuel)
I simply could not justify spending over £2grand a month on insurance alone-its absolutely ridiculous..

Yer I see your point but its a hobbie/Passion so that how I justify it to myself lol

You cant polish a turd lol

To be honest after driving a standard corsa vxr i thought it was horrible. But i roadtested one at work after its service, was lowered, straight through exhaust with big fround mount, unsure what else (must have been mapped though) but my god i was impressed. I would quite happily own one, but couldnt justify paying that much for a new car. Maybe when they are about 3-4k

since they are pretty common, they will drop in price like a rock when at 3-4 years old. Clio RS's have tanked in price of late due to insurance rocketing up to stop yoofs from driving them lol.

at a dealers quite a while, you would probably be better off getting a loan from your bank and buying privatley.

You may find that the vxr range may hold their value as according to some of the bods at my work, they wont be producing them anymore as they dont meet new emissions regs, apparently Renault is the only manufacturer that is producing fast cars that meet the regs, and fook me are they fast!

Are there not alot of known reliability problems with the Renaults

my brapmobile 182 is about to hit 100K and from the history its got all its taken to get there is service parts.

I think the VXR range will tank in value tbh as they wont be cheap to insure, tax or run, plus vaux will probably do their usual trick and stop supplying parts for cars they no longer make within 5 mins. hell look at M3 prices, they are cheap as chips as are focus ST's
